Yarriambiack Shire governance examination

The Local Government Inspectorate is conducting an examination of governance processes and investigating specific matters at Yarriambiack Shire Council.

Inspectorate staff are this week attending the Hopetoun council depot to follow up on issues raised during the examination. This will include accessing and viewing records held on site.

The actions of the Inspectorate are aimed at assessing governance arrangements at the shire and making recommendations for any improvements.

The Inspectorate will work with Yarriambiack Shire Council through this process and intends on providing the findings to the community in due course.
